Haematocolpos

An inperforate hymen cousing haematocolpos ir not an infrequent clinical entity. It is observed in young girls.
Symptoms
1 colicy abdominal pain which often in cycle. Mecarach has not set in.
2 seconadry sexul charcter wel devloped
3 vagina get progressively and increasingly distended wit mc blood.
4 diffuclty during micturation
SINGS
1 On exam^ hypogastric or suprapubic bulge is often obvious wich caures discomfort on palpation.
2 on separation of labia a bluish bulging membrane is recognized
3 on rectal exam^ reveals the bulge of vagina ant.
 if condition is neglected, increase vaginal distension progresses beyond thes causes haematometra n haematosalpinx wit irreparable damage.
Sympots of this r
low grade temp. Tachycardia, malasia, palor.

1 mistaken ful bladder
2 ovarian cyst
3 appendicular mass
4 pregnancy
INVESTIGATIONS
1 USG of pelvic it is main stay of diagonsis.
1 Rutine investigation
treatment
surgical excision of hymen and drgainage of the haematocolpos. Hymen incised crcuiate undr GA.
