Cardia  arrest is defined cp an abrupt loss of cardiac stop function which may be reversible an a prompt intervention but may lead to death due to its absence.

It has 4 components

A.EARLY RECOGNITION
1. He the patient is found to be injured he is assessed by speaking and touching . If not responded shout for help PHONE FIRST and ask for defibrillator .
CPR FOR 2 MIN is recommended in un witnessed arrest.
,B. EARLY CPR
1.open the airway in unresponsive patient . Use head tilt chin method ,in suspected trauma cases use law thrust method  to open the airway
2. Check for adequate breathing in adults. He adequate should turn him in recovery position . If not start rescue an giving two effective breathing each over 1 sec
the volume of each rescue breath will make visible  rise in chest  .
It is about 600 ml of expired air .
,3.next step is to circulation assessement .it is done by checking the barntie pulse for about 10 sec . He palpable above procedure is cont. And reciecked after 10breaths
he circulation is absent cardiac compression is started at a ratio of 30 compression : 2 ventilation
the patient is reassessed after 5 such cycles.

C).EARLY DEFIBRILLATION
-automated external defibrillator is used .
-he shock able rhythm is present them one shock at 360j mono phasic or 150-200j agricsic is given

-cpr cont after one shock and cont for five cycles 30:2 compression -to -ventilation ratio   .before rechecking the rhythm .

D. EARLY TRANSFER TO HOSPITAL
TREATMENT AND REHABILATION in a hospital helps to prevent further complication, attempt to fully reverse the underlying cause and prompt quality of life.
